I love how the seasons mark the passing of time. I love how when fall unfolds I can open the wardrobe of my too many coats and scarves and don them in layers to keep cozy in the crisp Autumn weather when I am raking leaves.

p.s my fav thing about fall- that it's warm enough during the day to still do outdoor activities and cool enough at night that you can leave the windows open without using AC!

Apple picking, then apple pies, family Thanksgiving dinners (I missed you this week), the smell of Populus tremuloides leaves underfoot, the colour of red maple leaves, the feeling that I should be going back to school, the relatively predictably lovely weather, enjoying walks in the woods without the minimum 3 species of biting insect, putting toques on my children and marvelling at how adorable they are, going out for chai tea lattes (which are always better in crisp air), wearing Craig's sweaters on evening walks, how it gets dark early and you can see in the windows of other homes and almost feel like you've become friends with the inhabitants because you can see how they spend their evenings... I could go on and on. Fall is by far my favourite season!
My favourite part about Fall is sleeping to the sound of the falling rain
My favorite thing is the cooler temperatures because it means I can break out the cozy blanket, snuggle up with some hot cocoa or cider, and get lost in a good book :) I also love fall because it signals the start of the holidays, of which Halloween is my favorite!

I loveeee EVERYTHING ABOUT FALL! It's scarf season...apple season (which means apple cider)...the beautiful fall leaves (especially red ones, as it's my favourite colour)...the boots...the cool weather!
