Here on PEI we've been lucky to have had a lovely fall and super mild early winter, but with today's -25C temperatures there is no avoiding the fact that winter is really here. If you're anything like me, along with cold winter winds comes thirsty skin, chapped lips and more. So it makes a lot of sense that in winter, my moisturizing regimen goes into overdrive, and I've put together a few of my favourite products that help keep my skin smooth and fully hydrated.
1. Korres Body Butter - This is a new favourite, but I've been using it every day. I use body butter for all-over moisture, and I am in love with this one from Korres even though I used to be a die-hard Body Shop girl. The two main things that won me over? How fabulous it makes my skin feel and its wonderful (but subtle) scent. Yum!
2. Labello Lip Balm - A long-time stand-by that I snap up time and again. One of my all time favourite lip balms, and I might be a bit of an addict, I admit. My personal favourite? Hydrocare. Seriously the best.
3. Smith's Rosebud Salve - Oh Rosebud Salve - how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. This stuff is like gold. I use it as a lip balm, or rub it into dry patches on my face, but a major use for me is to slather this salve on my dry, cracked knuckles to renew them and help them stay smooth and soft even on the most bitter of winter days. Crucial.
4. Lush Dream Cream - Most anyone who knows me well can tell you that I'm a bit of a Lush junkie - from bath products to perfume and more. So it comes as no surprise that one of my favourite lotions is Dream Cream. Soothing, moisture-rich and seriously wonderful.
5. Benefit "It's Potent" Eye Cream - From another favourite brand, Benefit's eye cream is a must-have for me. It both hydrates and brightens and is a godsend - especially on early mornings!
6. Korres Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel - Made especially to soothe and rehydrate dry skin, this has become an integral part of my daily routine. Post face-wash, I use it for a little extra moisture and the refreshing cooling sensation is the perfect morning pick-me-up.
7. Last but not least? LOTS of plain old H2O. Nothing beats it!

loved this post! thanks for sharing
Some great ideas! I do not use the right moisturizers clearly and it does make a difference! Perhaps I will get started on these :)
seriously the dryness is awful! I've been on the hunt for something to get rid of my static-y hair. Dryer sheets are the only thing that works so far lol

I've been lucky enough to spend the past four winters in cities where itdoesn't get that cold, so I haven't had to change my beauty routine too much in winter... But Paris, in spite of being warm, is very dry, which I've been struggling with. I may need to hunt down some Lebello, my lips are really suffering!
xox,
