Although most of us, myself included, are longing for spring, here on PEI (and the rest of Canada!) we've had easily the most frigid of weather so far this winter all week long. As I write this post, for example, there's an extreme windchill warning, which makes an already freezing temperature feel like -36, which is far from fun. While curling up inside hiding away from the cold, I was inspired to put together a few of my ideal winter picks perfect for staying as fashionable AND toasty warm as possible.
Most important? A warm and preferably hooded coat and waterproof boots. I'm obsessed with the Sperry Topsider x J. Crew boots as I've mentioned before, although usually I'm a diehard Sorel fan. In any case, for me, toasty feet on blustery winter days are imperative. These past few days I've been bundling up completely, with a toque, snood, fleece-lined tights (that double as the best-ever long johns) and cozy warm mittens. When it's as cold as it's been, it's worth finding fashionable and warm accessories to keep the frostbite at bay. Last but not least? Rosebud salve - for cracked dry lips, knuckles and windburned cheeks.

Love that cozy looking coat!
I love those boots too!
Definitely a great scarf, hat and I second the fleece lined tights!
I am so cold. Freezing. And I'm INSIDE.

Staying warm while staying stylish is one of those challenges that I've struggled with all my life - I grew up in Winnipeg and often sacrificed warmth for style because it seemed, at least when I was a kid, that I had to choose one or the other. Not so according to this post! I love all of the pieces you've chosen, but especially the scarf and bag :)
xox,
Cee
